As a concert soloist Ms. Sloan has appeared as featured soloist with Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra at The Dean Lesher in Walnut Creek, The Pleasanton Chamber Players and most recently with her brother, noted guitarist and arranger Grady Sloan, at CCPAS and The Etude Club in Berkeley. After graduating from CSU Hayward (CSUEB) with a degree in vocal performance, Ms. Sloan worked as a busy church soloist in many congregations across the East Bay. That same year she opened her private voice studio in Livermore and has been an active music educator in the area ever since. She is passionate about opening young minds to different forms of music and vocal styles and teaches several clinics every year at public schools and theatre groups. She is a frequent contributor to the Kids and Advice section of San Francisco Classical Voice and has attended graduate level pedagogy at Holy Names University.
